XR-42 Phoenix

The XR-42 Phoenix is an incredibly advanced Chimeran weapon, and only appears in the Co-op Campaign of Resistance 2, and only with a Medic.
The Phoenix fires a beam of energy which, upon contact with a Chimera, drains the target's energy-rather slowly. This energy can then be fired at a human ally to regenerate their health.
The Phoenix cannot drain human energy, and cannot heal a Chimera. How this is possible is unknown.
Trivia
- The weapon is named after the legendary Phoenix bird, which is said to die in flames and is reborn from the ashes left behind. There is also a ribbon award for killing a Chimera with the Phoenix known as "Ashes to Ashes".
- The weapon resembles to the Arc Charger from Resistance: Fall of Man.
