Winkler was a soldier who participated in Operation: Deliverance.
He was seen at the bus depot armed with a (presumably salvaged) L23 Fareye. During the battle, Winkler was one of the two snipers along with Captain Winters and was told to protect Payton and his squad as they moved up to attack the two Sentry Guns in the furthest building. Winkler was presumably killed after the Chimera launched a spire attack.
