Coxley lost it; broke
formation, flew right into
enemy flak.
No one else survived the
crash. My leg's busted. Not

I checked under the engine c
owling. Figured a flock of
darts had gummed up the
fans. Instead it was
jammed-packed with bloody
sea birds - God only knows
what they were doing this
far inland... birds don't
migrate this time of year.
Maybe all this strange
weather messing up their
instincts.
