Resistance 3 Receives Rave Review

Over at IGN, they can't stop ranting and raving about the awesomeness that is Resistance 3. We of course already know that in Resistance 3, we take control of Joseph Capelli as we attempt to take down the remaining Chimera.

IGN is quick to mention the functionality and smoothness of the controlling system. Playstation Move functionality seems to not be perfect, but still decent enough. Also, the violence and the gut-wrenching terror has been raised in this game to extreme levels.

The levels in the game are said to be extremely diverse, including boats, trains, and escort missions. The multiplayer also continues to be a strong aspect of the game, even though it has been scaled down to 16 players. This however is a good thing as it makes battles more personal and less chaotic.

I thought the stories for 1 and 2 were better. Hate on me if you want but that's my honest opinion. R3 was still fucking awesome though. The gameplay was a lot better too. I just...liked 1 and 2's campaign a lot more.

i hope dead space 3 gets some influence from resistance 3. resistance 3 gets my approval just from the story and characters. i didn't agree with IGN giving it a 9.0. You gave Crysis 2 a 9.0 You gave Dead Space 2 a 9.0 That's you favorite word Greg Miller. You aren't always great on your reviews. Sometimes, reviewers on IGN.com demote a game's score for reasons not said until closing comments. All fighting games automatically get an 8.0. Excuse but if all you do in a brawler is fight, all you do in a shooter is shoot. When you play a shooter, you always know that a character is going to die. Oh really, how did you know that? Resistance 3, how did it get a lower rating than Resistance 2? Forget IGN, Resistance 3 get a 9.3 at least.

Best campaign of all the games. Focus is on a more personal struggle rather than large military battles of the past two games. Joe could express more emotion but there is a nice supporting cast and there are more variety in the levels, environments with excellent pacing. All your weapons also improve the more you use them, which can be addictive :)

Yer I saw that the footage was interesting especially when the Widowmaker took down an ArshiP, resistance 3 hits Australia tomorrow and im pshyced to pick up my Survivor Edition.its been a long wait which in the end will be worth it
