Project Omega is a contingency plan created by United States President Noah Grace as an optional solution to the Chimeran invasion in America by negotiating with the Chimera into a truce.

Throughout the Chimeran war America was initially neutral in the conflict until the military liberation of Britain. Ultimately, the nation became invaded by the Chimera in late August 1951. And from August to November, the Upper Midwest became under gray territory, creating a war front in the north. The invasion results in millions of displaced refugees to settle in Protections Camps within and near the Liberty Defense Perimeter or living in makeshift shanty towns (with reasons given that the Protections Camp are under harsh draconian policies), and food shortages becoming rampant due to the Chimera's weather changing technology that is affecting the nation's farmlands. Worried that the situations affecting America and given that the Chimera are technologically superior in possibly conquering the nation, Noah Grace (selfishly) decided of establishing a truce with the Chimera.
[edit] Operation
In parts of the truce, America will leave the Chimera unfettered in their conquest of the world and in turn sparing only America in peace. However, Grace and his cabinet realizes that Daedalus is the only Chimeran being that is communicable in the negotiations and that capturing him remains the top priority in the negotiations. Presidential Chief of Staff William Dentweiler was tasked in overseeing the capture of Daedalus.
Learning that Daedalus possesses with superior mental powers and is connected to his wife Hannah Shepherd, Dentweiler procure Hannah to Sheridan, Wyoming and torture her by government agents in sending a mental signal to Daedalus and in luring him to rescue his wife. After Daedalus rescued Hannah, the American military followed to Daedalus' location due to a tracking transmitter implanted in Hannah's hair, and are able to capture Daedalus by firing harpoons containing 2000 cc of sedatives into the creature. Daedalus is later confined in a secret base near Sheridan, and is embedded with a electrode in preventing him from using his mental powers. Also, in order for Daedalus to cooperate, Hannah is used as a hostage.
On December 24th, Noah Grace went to Sheridan under the guise of his Victory Tour, and confront Daedalus. Grace reveals his offer to Daedalus, but after finishing the details of his offer Grace is killed by Nathan Hale, who later learned from former Secretary of War Henry Walker's recordings about Project Omega. Shortly after Grace's death, Daedalus escaped from his confinement and allowing a Chimeran warship that was present outside of Sheridan as part of the negotiations, into destroying the city and its surroundings in retaliation.

Supposed negotiations between the Chimera and the United States is entirely dash, Noah Grace's death is covered-up and Vice President Harvey McCullen is succeeded as president.
