The PlayStation 3 is a 'next-gen' gaming system by Sony. In relation to the Resistance series, the games Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, and Resistance 3 are exclusively played on the console. Fall of Man was originally to be on the PlayStation 2, but as the new console was to be released it was changed to be a launch title for the new system.
