Look, you are not waging a "war" on me but every viewer on the wiki. This is petty and stupid, and do grow up over something so minuscule as you were spamming that "glitch" page. I can highly guess that you are just a grade schooler acting all talk. You are a vandal spewing nonsense. YOU are the problem.
I have to say that I agree with Drgyen. There are so many glitches in the Resistance games that you can't have one glitch page. If you find a good one in a level post it on the levels page (just make sure your grammar is top notch though). At the end of the day, if you keep deleting pages we will just have to protect all of them and that is really unfair on the many other anonymous wikia contributors. Do you really want to upset a load of people just because a page, which isn't right for this factual wikia, was deleted?
And btw, the page wouldn't have been straight off deleted. No page is unless it is just spam. There would have been a period of time. Between 2 weeks to a month for you to discuss your views on whether or not your page should be deleted. We've all had pages deleted, we just dealt with them in seperate ways.
yeah but im i pro glitcher im resistance 2 and ovet the past 9 years nearly ive gotten really paraniod in games thats why most glitchers in resistance 2 will go crazy when you shit on them drygen shit on me i went crazy dont care what you say im not stopping im gonna keep going till drygen leaves cause im from ulster and you know what we all say here NO SURRENDER i mean it if he leaves i will stop but if he dosent go ill just keep deleting pages etc this started with me a happy ps2 guy before the ps3 came out now im a paranoid guy that cant stop glitching etc and when someone trys to i do bad stuff like what im doing to drygen now expect a war or something i am quite young im 28 i was alive during the trobbles i even saw people being shot etc so dont fuck me cause thats made me paranoid too i will stop and this wiki will be a good happy place if drygen leaves thats me final OFFERRR NOT SAYING ANTHING ELSE THATS MY FINAL OPFFER IF HE LEAVES I STOP NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MOREEEEEEEEEEEEE
So you're an Irish guy who goes on about being British? I bet you are a hit over there. If you are 28 and gets paranoid over glitching to the point that you throw a massive toddler hissyfit when someone deletes a page that isn't really part of this wiki then, I'm afraid, that you need serious counselling mate. Put that controller down, go outside. :)
You know you couldve just written a blog about glitching...
Not saying that all Minutemen use the Chimeran weapons but in the intel documents, they specifically mention using the weapons so they are included on the individuals page because they have used them.
They could be the only Minuteman ever to use the weapon, but they used it so it should be included on their page.
I looked over "1st Armor Division, 37th Armor Regiment" and such, you do know that it is spell wrong. 1st Armor Division and 37th Armor Regiment aren't supposed to be together, they are separate military entities. The 37th are part of the 1st Division as a component. The page "1st Armored Division, 37th Army Regiment" should be rename as "1st Armored Division".
okay, sorry. I didn't know. When I wrote those articles from dossiers on the Project Abraham website I just copied what it said on it's forms. So you're free to change it :)
I looked up what you added in 1953 with the info from that second rated book. I am miffed and critical about the canon in A Hole in the Sky, even if some may be validated. My question is: is it REALLY necessary to have the events in Sky added to the "official" timeline?
Well The Gathering Storm is mentioned, so yes? It has some very canon bits of the book, like the first chapter which is mentioned and seen in R3 and also mentioned online. It shows how Joe and Susan meet which fills in a rare coincidence and the 4 main Insomniac Resistance personnel (Ted Price, Brian Hastings, Marcus Smith and Jon Paquette) helped contribute to it. It has important parts as well as a few questionable bits (forgotten which bits are questionable :/ )
Hate to say this but that sounds more like preference more than anything :/ I want to see how the continuity errors badly affect the whole timeline and how the errors are worse than the ones in The Gathering Storm? If it's just a dislike to the literature, surely we can still include it..?
Continuity is a real issue. In R3, we never see how the rest of humanity dealt, nor even mentioning of a stable government. Frankly about "Hole" having human antagonist suddenly start attacking what is speak of a "stable" US gov. was completely BS to me. I mean isn't there the sense "we are all in this together" thing, but instead taking out on the Chimera, some asshole decide to play president Jim Jones-like in middle of a f***ing alien invasion. That's unrealistic. The Wardens in R3 are what I considered to be a REAL human antagonist: "everyone for yourselves" and "screw everyone but you" mentality.
So, I'm still undecided to include the timeline from Hole even if there are "some" grains of truth. Anyone suggest of trying to compile a similar list of mistakes that the Mass Effect fans did? Starting from Gathering Storm?
Before you think I am completely against you, I'm not I'm enjoying this topic because it's benefitting the wikia.
In situations like that, there would be some attempt by a small few to create stability whether that was power to themselves, or to make sure everyone didn't kill eachother when there was a bigger enemy; Like in the American Revolution where all the Americans had to do was survive and keep their congress and army partially intact, whilst the British hunted them. All the (Resistance) Americans had to do was create a little control and survive, the government would have been a hope and morale for the others. Albeit millions of towns have seemed to survive in 1953 but in Resistance 3 you encounter settlements and towns inhabited by a group of people.
Also Resistance 3 is based 4 years after the book, so maybe a lot of those settlements and that government got found and destroyed by death squads.. Just like Tunnel-Through at the end. IMO The Gatherin Storm is less insync with the timeline than A Hole in the Sky.
Drygen i could try to compile a list but the books were not released in my country. If anyone had a link to the books on the internet i would be more than happy to do it.( BTW sorry for interveining in the discussion all of a sudden).
May I just clarify? There are no really big Resistance Universe destroying inconsistances in the book? It's just a dislike of the author? Yeah maybe the books are deemed badly written but if it doesn't really harm the universe than surely all of it can be included in timeline if necessary. I'm really confused now..
There is a inconsistency with Susan. I read from Bradley Game Guide that in her character profile that she was pardoned after she recognized for being related to Hale, and so prison drama. In fact in the same guide, it was also where I got the background history to what happened in Russia after WWI and incorporated that into our wiki.
I suggest we could add a discretion template regarding canon but still containing the given info from the books.
What is this Bradley Game Guide and why isn't it here? :s Erm.. this seems way more a dislike towards the author than anything else. :( Can everything that doesn't involve Susan can be auto-classed as canon?
Thanks for the consent :) Wow nice guide, shame it's USD, otherwise I might have brought it for all the articles and information that it might contain that we are missing here (Esp the multiplayer maps which are our weak point by miles). One question though.. is it official?
Is there any way you can check? I saw on wikipedia that Cartwright's and Parker's birth years were there and you had editted on Cartwright's piece, is there any chance that those years are correct? or is it like most of wikipedia? BS?
Damn, because they looked quite good and key pieces of information that we are missing :( Are there any improvement drives that you are working on atm?
ooh yeah ATM's mean cash dispensers in America. Sorry, I shorthanded "At The Moment", I was just saying, due to the fact that there is no news on anything Resistance-y at the moment, we can use this as a perfect time to clear up, update, create and improve a lot of articles and the best way to do this is to set yourself a section you want to work on (an improvement drive), right now I am working on Multiplayer Maps (Which BADLY needs an update and improvement) and A Hole in the Sky..
Thanks for your explanation. I am at a "off and on" moment - looking at other things that catches my interest. But I can do to improve this wiki at certain point of time.
Anyway, back to continuity problems; I previously suggest of a "continuity" template that the Bioshock wiki had used when "Bioshock: Rapture" was released.
The hurdle that I am finding difficult to vault is that A Hole in the Sky is a known official novel whilst the Guide I'm unaware of it's source. :/ and if it turns out the guide is unofficial then surely the rest of the novel will be continous (albeit dull) in the Resistance timeline.
There is this guy John in R3 not the co-op John. He is mentioned twice in graterford prison.
There is a empty prison cell with a writing on the wall saying something like John led us here. John is wrong about everything. I hate you John and written on the wall in the pit the same thing. Who is he?
Hmm... I've never seen this. Is there anyway you can show me? But apart from that he is just a guy named John, I don't know any other Johns in Resistance 3 apart from Harper.
Going out on a limb here. I know Insomniac Games really well. They like their inside jokes. John Lally, John Fiorito, Johnny Byrnes. I have a feeling one of them did modeling or came up with some idea. I'm not a gaming industry insider, but I might have at least half of it
I don't think the sentinel page shouldn't include James Grayson because a the end of the game he apparently looks infected or the sentinel story line is true don't get get mad I just want to know
Wow double negative there. I don't know what you mean. I think he, Roger Cosby and the other Retribution sentinel should have a little part on the page.
Have that little Note thing that you have on some pages. I haven't included them to the list of known Sentinels though have I? They are right at the bottom out of sight.
