London

London is the capital city of England in Great Britain, and is the capital of Great Britain overall. It was attacked by the Chimera in 1950 with burrowers. The resulting siege culminates with the River Thames flooding the underground base underneath London, killing 14,000 soldiers. This left only a small force of less than 5,000 soldier to defend the rest of the country, as the majority of Britain's military might was lost when its navy was wiped out by freak storms in the English Channel and many of its ground troops lost in the European theater as part of the British Expeditionary Force for the United European Defense. Under Chimeran occupation, the environs of London as well as the areas surrounding the city underwent several, drastic changes: the weather dropped to the point the Thames River froze solid, and snowstorms and blizzards would occur frequently. And as well of the unearthing of a Chimeran hub tower in the center of the city. London was later retaken by the Anglo-American Forces, along with the rest of Britain, when the Chimeran towers were destroyed through the course of Resistance: Fall of Man.
