Larson is a troop commander that participated in Operation Shear.

During the events of Operation Shear, Larson was placed under the command of Lieutenant Childress in the 24th SAS Regiment's H-Squadron's K Troop. As the company split up, Larson was placed under the temporary command of Sergeant Brierley, where their unit was sent ahead of the rest of K-Troop to try and take a Chimeran bridge and reinforce Lt. Stephen Cartwright.

As British forces began initiating the final stage of the operation, Hastings was placed in command of a squad with orders to seal off the Chimeran tunnels with Saunders. Shortly after completing their initial objectives, Larson and his team were re-deployed to assist the British forces fighting on the bridge underneath the pylons. As Sergeant Nathan Hale descended from the final pylon with orders to seal off the final Chimeran tunnel in the Nexus, a Titan that was waiting ambushed him. Unable to break through the fence, Larson began panicking and quickly informed Lt. Stephen Cartwright of the developing situation. With orders to prevent Hale's death, Larson quickly rallied his squad to the fence as they began providing him with supporting fire.

Fortunately, Hale was able to defeat the Titan on his lonesome. As British forces finally sealed off the Chimeran Nexus, all troops were evacuated to Southern Command for a well-earned rest.
