Italy

Italy is a country located on the Italian Peninsula in Southern Europe and on the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. Italy shares its northern, Alpine boundary with France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia. The nation later became one of the last countries to fall to the Chimera in continental Europe.

History

In the Great War Italy was part of the Entente Powers Alliance. When the war was won by the Allies, Italy joined the UED.

Since the outbreak of the Chimeran War, Italy was likewise attacked by the Chimera shortly after the fall of France. It was during the Siege of Genoa when Italian soldiers were overwhelmed by the Chimera, which quickly led to Italy's occupation to the Chimera.

Trivia

Due to the European Trade Organization's actions of restoring the economy, and keeping peace by building democracies and rejecting fascism, it appears that, without Benito Mussolini, the fascist dictator in power, it would theorize that Italy may possibly remain as the kingdom and a monarchy.
In Italy, United European Defence soldiers know the Chimera as the "Deathless Plague".
