Before the events of Resistance: Fall of Man India was part of the British Commonwealth. When the Chimera invaded Europe and Asia in 1949, British military forces present in India were forced to vacated in defending Britain and participating in the Chimeran War. Causing India to quickly fell to the Chimera in a few short weeks during the Chimeran invasion of Europe.[1]
