Hedgehog Grenade

From the Resistance Wiki

Resistance 2 Hedgehog Grenade

The Hedgehog Grenade-also known simply as a Hedgehog-is the standard Chimeran hand-held explosive.

When a Hedgehog Grenade is thrown, it will land on the floor, float up in the air, extend many needles-which is the grenade's main method of damage infliction-and finally explode. The explosion showers the area with sharp needles, impaling the target(s) and killing the victim. Even if the Hedgehog's needles do not hit a vital area (heart, lungs, etc.), the needles can embed themselves in any imaginable area of the body, hence causing horrific injuries and pain to an unfortunate survivor.

"The Hedgehog Grenade is a Chimeran anti-personnel munition. It is thrown like an ordinary hand grenade. upon landing it springs up and expands into a spiny cluster. At its "kill height", the Hedgehog fires spines in all directions with enough force to pin targets against nearby walls. The effect is especially deadly in confined quarters."
