Sergeant Major Guthrie was part of the 5th Ranger Battalion under the command of Lt. Col. Jack Hawkins. He took part in Operation Iron Fist but it is not told whether he survived or not. Prior to the operation, Guthrie met Nathan Hale and was impressed to know that the Sentinel was a former Army Ranger.
