Frederick Jean was a doctor stationed in SRPA 3. On February 12th, 1953, Dr. Jean and along with his colleagues Doctors Oscar Villamizar and Percy Kabeck discovered Cpl. Joseph Capelli in a torpid state. Jean and his colleagues tried to help Capelli but were instead assaulted by him. The doctors were saved from Capelli by the arrival of Sgt. Benjamin Warner.
His struggle with Capelli left Dr. Jean suffered from a fractured clavicle, broken nose, a broken right humerus, and a broken right ulna.
