The Promise is the twentieth and final chapter of Resistance 3.

Synopsis

Joseph Capelli reaches the power core room. After a catastrophic fire-fight against the Chimera, Capelli destroys the power core. With the Terraformer destabilizing, Capelli barely escapes with Charlie Tent and Ellis Turner. The Terraformer collides into the New York tower, destroying it and permanently closing the wormhole.

Capelli is brought to Baxter Springs, where he is reunited with Susan and Jack. Meanwhile, numerous resistance groups from all over Earth report that the planet's temperatures are returning back to normal due to the closing of the wormhole, and the Chimera are left in disarray. In an undetermined amount of time, humanity finally defeats the Chimera and slowly begins to rebuild.
