Echo Team

Echo Team started of doing incredibly well before the Chimeran invasion of the U.S. in 1953, completing operations, such as Operation Iron Hand. But in 1952 Echo's Squad Leader Lt. Hank Leavitt was killed by a Stalker in North Carolina and Hale was promoted to lieutenant and replaced Leavitt as squad leader.
Echo Team were back into the thick of things when the Chimera attacked SPRA 3, a facility near San Francisco, and were tasked into destroying a damaged Chimeran battleship in the town of Orick, California; then activating two defense towers in Twin Falls, Idaho, destroying three other battleships and defeating a Mother spinner who almost killed Capelli.
After Echo team and Dr. Malikov tried to stop the Chicago Tower from being activated, but discovered that the tower was being activated by Daedalus in Iceland. Echo traveled to Holar, Iceland to assassinate the Chimeran creature. But the operation failed when team members Benjamin Warner and Aaron Hawthorne were killed by Daedalus and with Hale being mortally stabbed but saved in time by Capelli.
Finally in Operation Black Eden, the remains of Echo team along with Major Richard Blake and X-Ray Squad managed to set a fission bomb onto Daedalus' flag battleship and destroyed the entire Chimeran fleet over the Gulf of Mexico; but when Hale and Capelli arrived back on the ground Capelli realized Hale had finally succumbed to the virus and became a Chimera and therefore shot Hale in the head with a pistol.
The only surviving member is Cpl. Joseph Capelli.

- Lt. Nathan Hale (Echo-Six,then Echo-Two and later Echo-One) - The main protagonist and the playable character in RFoM and R2
- Sgt. Gaines - Took part in Operation Iron Fist.
- Sgt. Marvin Kawecki (Echo-Five) - A main character and a good friend of Hale, and appears all the way through RtGS.
- Sgt. Benjamin Phillip Warner (Echo-Six, later Echo-Two) - Second in command during R2.
- SPC. Aaron Lloyd Hawthorne (Echo-Seven, later Echo-Three) - Appears in R2.
- Cpl. Joseph Evan Capelli (Echo-Five) - Appears in R2, was also part of Alpha Team and Kilo Team.
- Cpl. Pardo - Took part in Operation Iron Fist.
- Cpl. Vedka - Was part of the Chicago S.A.R. party with Lt. Hale and Cpt. Richards.
- Cpl. Tim Yorba (Echo-Four) - Took part in Operation Iron Fist.
- Pvt. Cooper - Was part of the Chicago S.A.R. party with Lt. Hale and Cpt. Richards.
- Pvt. Russ Dana - Was part of the Chicago S.A.R. party with Lt. Hale and Cpt. Richards.
