Lt. David LaSalle is Specter Team's squad leader and a Sentinel. He works for SRPA and sends the organization pictures and intelligence of Chimeran facilities, weapons, creatures and machines. He is only mentioned in intel in Resistance 2 and Resistance: Retribution.

[edit] Working For SRPA

Lt. LaSalle is a character that is features in a few Resistance 2 Intel, and many Infected Intel documents that can be gathered after "infecting" Resistance Retribution. LaSalle appears to be stationed in Europe being one of the few SRPA Sentinels still left alive. It is unknown if he participated in Operation: Black Eden, because it was previously thought that the only remaining Sentinels were Capelli and (supposedly) Hale. However it could have been meant that Hale and Capelli were the only available Sentinels who weren't on missions. Since there were many facilities for Project Abraham, there in-fact could be several other Sentinels.

LaSalle was also involved in a lot of recon work and he and his squad are partially responsible for many of SRPA's new technology, such as the discovery of the Marksman. In July 1951, LaSalle discovered a Chimeran construction zone in Gerolstein and sent many photos to SRPA station Igloo in Iceland. He had also helped acquire a lot of Gray Tech around Europe with the help of the Maquis.

Although he has been the leader of Specter team since 1951, Major Richard Blake apparently founded Specter in 1952 to help find Gray Tech across the country. It is possible that the original Specter team, directly under LaSalle, was always working in Europe and Blake simply made a second squad to deal with missions in America.

In Infected mode, Lt. LaSalle appears to be using Pvt. James Grayson and other convicts from the "worm" to report "Anything that looks a bit off" but refuses to tell them anything else about the Chimera. Eventually only Grayson is left and he discovers "things" called 'Gray Technology' and becomes curious in it. Lasalle tells him that Gray Tech can be used to make powerful weapons and that they are the things that SRPA and Specter need and told him to be careful when finding Gray Tech because it can be radioactive.

In various documents, James Grayson mentions that LaSalle had given him a rather odd assignment, and that the 'Yanks' "probably aren't telling everything they know about the Chimera". Grayson has to look out for anything 'odd' during his participation in Operation Overstrike, which mainly turns out to be Gray Tech. LaSalle was also rather interested in the Gun Towers the Chimera are using to fortify the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean.

It can be assumed that most of this information is false as the infected mode storyline and intel is non-canon and never really happened, although some of that information could still be true.

Very little is known about him at this point, but it could be assumed that he is very skilled to have survived this long in the war.
