Sergeant Brierley was the leader of K Troop and participated in Operation Shear.
Under his command, and with help from Sgt. Nathan Hale, K Troop managed to cross a heavily defended bridge to relieve Lt. Stephen Cartwright and the other surviving Marine Commandos whom were close to being wiped out.
