Resistance 3 Will Support 3D, PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter Thanks to Community Demand
Insomniac Games has announced that Resistance 3 will support stereoscopic 3D as well as PlayStation Move + Sharpshooter support when it releases this September.[1]

Fans of the Resistance franchise will get a chance to appear in the upcoming Resistance 3. A lucky winner and his/her friend will be flown out to San Diego and meet up with the team at Insomniac. His/her face will be digitally scanned and inserted in the game as a survivor of the Chimeran onslaught. The winner will also get hands on exclusive time with the game before it's release. The contest ends Friday March 11th.

2nd Resistance handheld game announced!
Yesterday Sony announced that a new handheld Resistance game is being created by Nihilistic Software for the Next Generation Portable (AKA PSP2).
Nihilistic Software are currently making Playstation Heroes for the Move.

The Gathering Storm book review
When I first read the book, I'm very mixed on how it was told. The capturing of human beings at the mining pit seems redundant given that spires are being used to infect. The love story thing between Hale and Aklin seems b-rated. And importantly the characterization of some of the characters, specifically Hale and Blake, which detached from what we known in the games.
Also given the fact that the author had previously written a book adaption of Halo in "The Flood", I understands why some fans are not amuse with the writer after reading RtGS.
Give some of your words on what you think about the book. Whether is bad or something.
Resistance: 72 Hours (working title)
I love writing fan fiction. I also love the Resistance series. So I thought to myself, "How can I combine those two things?" The answer: by writing a short story (or stories) about Resistance, complete with artwork
My short story (or stories) will detail the invasion of the United States in 1953 through the eyes of Army Rangers in the U.S. state of Washington. It will follow the Army Rangers attempts to evacuate refugees and push Chimeran forces out of the city of Seattle. When a terrible Chimeran secret is discovered by Sgt. Thompson, it is up to him and the remaining soldiers in his unit to stop the Chimera's plans.
Seattle will differ greatly from it's real life counterpart. It will have a more prominent military feel then it does in real…
Resistance 3- Multiplayer Wish List
Guys,
I need your input on what you want for multi in R3. IMO, R2's competitive multi sucked hairy monkey balls. I'd like to mail this off to Insomniac so please do me a favour and post sensibly. My wish list includes
- More structured multiplayer, with gun attachments/gun upgrades (like CoD, UnCharted)
- Fully customizable characters (and I mean the skins too!)
- Giving the guns more "oomph"
- More powerful sound effects
- Smaller maps.
- Make combat a little less chaotic, and more tactical
- Classes. (Let us play as that jetpack Chimera!)
- Vehicles. I don't think ANY PlayStation- exclusive FPS has vehicles in multi. (Is there? IDK)

An Incredibly Ironic Story
I never did tell you guys about how I became a Resistance fan. It's a little embarrassing. I think that I can trust you to not make fun of me for telling you this.
It was several months ago when I was bored with my current games after I had beat each one of them multiple times. I kept hearing about the Halo franchise (Can you see the irony now?) from many people. Interested, I headed to a local used video game store (not Gamestop) to buy the three games from the main Halo trilogy. As it turned out, I did not know that Halo was only for the X-Box (I was SUCH a n00b). Not owning one, I looked for something else. My Resistance 3 Wishlist
I know that Advancedwarfighter already made one, but I want to make my own.
I want Cartwright to be back.- A little British charm can go a long way.
I want Parker's narration.- It was very unique and added a lot to the story and presentation.
I want glass to shatter when you break it.- It was RIDICULOUS in Resistance 2.
I want trophies that are not so hard to get.- 10,000 kills=absurd.
I want to level up more quickly.- It takes FOREVER in Resistance 2.
I want Hale to be the main villain.- I just think that it would be very interesting.
I want weapons that are a little more creative.- The weapons in Resistance 2 were INDEED creative for a first-person shooter, but they were not as creative as Resistance Fall of Man's weapons.

- More creative guns- The Wraith was kind of lame, and the Auger MK 2 could see thru walls, also not good. Bellock likewise, too un- creative. Call me a geek, I don't care

- Return of the L11-2 Dragon- Resistance is a game where you NEED over the top gunplay and flamethrowers are always fun. The replacement, the Splicer was just queer

Is Hale REALLY Dead or just "Dead"?
I know that Insomniac said that Hale is dead, but in the Resistance universe, someone is counted as "dead" if they are a Chimera. This could potentially mean that Hale is INDEED the new Chimeran leader. This is only a theory.

Capelli and Susan Farley in Resistance 3???
Judging from the names of the leaked pictures it seems like Capelli is definately part of 3, (though he looks a lot like Grayson, has brown hair and skinny as a runt.)
But also there is a file called Haven_Susan which seeing as the Haven looks like a freedom fighters base and that a prision is an online map people think it is none other than Susan Farely - Freedom First Rebel and Hale's half sister who was imprisoned after an attempted assassination of President Grace.
What do you guys think of this match up?

Hi guys, I quickly thought of this after going to see Yes, Prime Minister in London and travelling through Trafalgar Square to get to the theatre (Trafalgar Square appears in the level Ice and Iron.)

Halo Reach= A sad day for PS3 owners
The release of Halo Reach has made the public completely forget great titles like Killzone 2 and 3, Resistance Fall of Man, 2 and 3. Oh well, (don't lynch me for saying this) but the X- Box wins this round. We need to generate hype for fun and better- looking titles like Killzone and Resistance. (4 million more polygons than Halo 3, and Reach still looks like a Wii game)
Resistance 3, a MAG killer?
The Resistance series has been known for pushing the boundries on multiplayer with Fall of Man having the most people in the same match in 2006/2007 followed by Resistance 2 that had 60 players and kept that title.
BUT in 2009 Zipper Interactive released MAG loose which beat Resistance 2's record 4 times over by having 256 people in on game. SO do you think that Insomniac Games will take that as a challenge and aim for, lets say, 300 players in a match, 150 on both teams? They'll have to be quick because I've heard that MAG is trying to put all three of it's factions in one match and I'm not sure whether all three of them have 128 players in them.
Will Resistance 3 have a bigger multiplayer? Discuss please.

My favourite is the melee one in RFOM because I've got like 700 hundred of them, my second favourite is 7 kills from the same game.

Week 2 of no gaming. At all
No Call of Duty, no Resistance, just music and assorted books. Yes for 2 weeks now, I have not touched my PlayStations. At all. I hope to keep this up until October.
