The Baton Rouge was the capital of the U.S. state of Louisiana and later a Protection Camp. By 1953, Baton Rouge became the last stronghold for American forces after the Liberty Defense Perimeter was breached by the Chimera. It hold at least 3 million surviving refugees.

Because of the destruction of the LDP and the fall of most of the American mainland, Baton Rouge did not get any supplies from SRPA for weeks. Baton Rouge apparently held out well, but according to Joseph Capelli, it can be presumed that if SRPA fails in stopping Daedalus, Baton Rouge would fall.^[1]
